One word about practice. Do not skip it. Flick your wrist downward firmly to deploy. The segments lock by friction when extended. To close tap the tip firmly against a hard surface until it locks back into place. Practice both motions until they are automatic. Your body needs to know what to do before something happens — not during.

This baton is also compatible with our Pointed Glass Breaker End Cap which attaches to the thick end and gives you a hardened point for breaking tempered glass in an emergency. If you ever need to get out of a vehicle fast or help someone trapped in a car that end cap turns this baton into a rescue tool.
